Green hydrogen
Climate protection “Made in Germany”
Green hydrogen technologies are of paramount importance for the future of Germany as an industrial powerhouse. In light of this, the German government has launched the National Hydrogen Strategy. It illustrates how we can use green hydrogen in industry, transport, and the energy system to safeguard our competitiveness, achieve climate protection targets, and tap into new markets. The main focus is on a systemic approach that integrates the production, transport, distribution, and utilization of hydrogen, including international aspects. (Excerpt from the National Hydrogen Strategy of the BMBF)
Our contribution is to provide the appropriate hydrogen technology and infrastructure to meet the needs of our customers and markets.

How does PEM electrolysis work?
Water electrolysis is an electrochemical process in which water is converted into hydrogen. In this process, electrical energy is converted into hydrogen, an energy carrier.
For PEM electrolysis, a solid polymer electrolyte – also called a proton exchange membrane – is used.
A constant proton exchange takes place within the membrane, while the electrons are located in an outer circuit. Hydrogen is formed at the cathode.
